Ok I haven't posted an article in a long time but this one.. I don't know.. makes me want to reply (yes, I am VERY BORED). So here we go..

Yomiuri Shimbun

Police have arrested a 17-year-old Brazilian boy living in Tochigi
Prefecture on suspicion of violating the Unauthorized Computer Access
Law, the police said Friday.

[suspicion ? right.. we all know he did it and he admitted it!]

The boy is a member of an international group of hackers responsible
for hacking into more than 1,000 Web sites in 33 countries.

[I think this could be better stated as... "The child is a member of an international group of script kiddies responsible for breaking into more than 1000 servers and modifying the contents of the website".. see the difference ? he didn't hack anything and no one breaks into a 'website' but instead a web server!]

The Metropolitan Police Department arrested the boy on suspicion of
violating the Unauthorized Computer Access Law.

[redundancy in a news report.. GREAT IDEA!.. you already said this but in different words and earlier on... is this some way to make your article more special or ... LONGER ? ]

He reportedly has told investigators from the MPD's center overseeing
high-tech-related crimes that he thought major companies would want to
employ him if he displayed his hacking skills.

[ just goes to show how stupid some people are.. heh.. firstly, he told investigators so he is not suspected to have done it, but he DID do it! oh, and what kind of 17 year old thinks their malicious activity is gonna get them a job ? fool..]

The boy used his personal computer to illegally access the computer
system of Kyoto University Hospital on July 10. He left phrases
written in English including "s3r14l k1ll3r was here" on the Web site
of the university's Human Brain Research Center.

[ yeah.. VERY intelligent person we have here.. 's3r14l k1ll3r' . oooh I fear him sooo much! haha.. what kind of hacker uses a name like that ? uhh.. that's just stupid and shows a complete lack of intelligence and creativity!]

According to the police, the boy went by the nickname "s3r14l
k1ll3r"--which can be read as "serial killer"--in the group.

[ duh.. ]

The boy also is suspected of hacking into and defacing the Web sites
of a private high school and a computer servicing company in the
metropolitan area.

[ no.. he's KNOWN to deface websites.. of course he did this one too! and let's not even discuss the issue of 'hacker' and 'script kiddy' ]

The boy was a member of an international group of hackers who named
themselves "CyberLords." The group was formed near the end of last
year by eight hackers, including Americans and Brazilians, who became
acquainted through a Web site used exclusively by hackers.

[ cyberlords.. right.. 17 year old KIDS are lords ? that's a scary thought! lord.. heh.. right.. maybe in their own delusional dreams.. ]

Group members exchanged information with each other about software
programs designed to attack computer systems and security flaws in Web
sites that could be exploited, and randomly attacked Web sites all
over the world, the police said.

[ this just goes to show how clueless these KIDS are.. randomly is the usual case.. reason is simple.. they use scanners they can't right to scan blocks of IPs for vulnerable systems. Then they just run a program against these sites and they are in and do their childish things... ]

The hackers vied with each other to hack into Web sites and published
on the Internet their hacking "track record."

[ Has ANYONE here heard of these people ? I doubt it.. I sure as hell haven't before this article.. ]

The group, which has claimed responsibility for hacking into more than
1,000 Web sites in 33 countries, became known among hackers around the
world after attacking about 60 South Korean Web sites simultaneously
in March.

[ I ask again. has ANYONE here known or heard of these people ? I'm curious to see if anyone has... maybe I'm wrong but I really doubt it.. ]

In early June, South Korean investigative authorities learned that one
member of the group was in Japan and requested through Interpol that
the MPD assist with their investigation.

[ use the chair! use the chair! ]

Consequently, the MPD discovered an Internet bulletin board on which
the boy bragged of his exploits of defacing various Web sites.

[ which means he isn't suspected to.. he is KNOWN too.. so why not say it right ? ]

Based on the content of his bragging, the MPD traced a group of
domestic Web sites that the boy had targeted.

[ wow.. this kid is just a regular genious.. attacking the wrong people.. reminds me of Mitnick.. ]

A subsequent analysis of the records left on the boy's computer
pinpointed his involvement in the hacking attacks, the police said.

[ good.. now do your job and prosecute the ass to the fullest exten of the law! ]

The boy worked for an employment agency.

[ guess he doesn't now.. or I sure hope he doesn't.. ]
