Title: appropriateness of the word 'hacker'

pretty much, the subject says it all

when is good, when is it bad ?

what is a hacker or hacking, what is it not ?

is it wrongly used and by who ? same with rightly used..

discussion there ?

ahhh yes..the tried and true subject. Well, i wrote a great bit on it. although my views have changed somewhat. A hacker, is some one with a deep love for what ever he/she does. They tend to excel at it and are adept at it also. The media uses the term wrong all the time. period. network security fascinates me, so does programming, networking , hardware, desktops...it all does. I have found a sarp liking to network penetration though...it one of those things where some people are gifted in a certain way and some arent. Stay tuned...

I think you all kind of missed my point.. and I honestly don't know how to explain it. And if I did, maybe it still wouldn't be understood.
