I'm new to this whole forum thing, so bear with me...

I don't really know about practical application, but I want to know more about the vulnerabilities of the dreaded "Windows XP Messenger Service" that everyone hates.  Is there just some easy Telnet hack for it or does it leave some port open for attack or what's the big deal with it?

I would like to know because I'm debating on whether or not to use it to broadcast messages across my office network.  It would be nice if I knew its vulnerabilities so I could do something about them...

Thanks
