heya all...

I'm writing a paper about bsd sockets, raw included, along with a program (or so I am thinking that) but... could use some help here. What I'm after is, suggestions as to what I could include (read: what you'd like to see).

That means the paper and the program.

1. What kind of things would you like to see being covered as far as programming sockets in C for BSD ?
2. What kinds of things would you like to see in the program ?
as of now, I have the option to spoof, specify a few protocols at the transport layer (tcp, udp, etc), but certainly some other things might be fun ? a message  maybe ? verbose output so you can see what the header is and so on ?  maybe even scan ports using connect() ?

I'd love to hear more ideas for this so I can make a somewhat decent paper and program ....

How about:

BSD Socket Basics (C)
Resource starvation
Information Gathering for Open services (Banner Grabbing)

I dunno...cant think of anything today.
