Title: spammers' email addresses
Post by: Metgod on January 24, 2003, 03:20:36 PM
Okay, I'm taking it upon myself to post spammers' email addresses. Feel free to do what you wish with these folks ! Hell, sell them to other spammers for all I care !

Perhaps we can form a patter.. post all spammers' addresses if you like. Do anything you want to them..

That would be a very big list.... I was getting 90-100 a day in one of my accounts before I setup some filters.

If I ever have messenger sevice on I probably get a net send spam once every 3 days or so, thats not too bad yet, but its picking up I have noticed.

yeah.. a little too big.. okay let's be honest.. WAY TOO BIG..

I don't know though... sometimes it might be worth it, sometimes not. But usually things like this just aren't worth the time and effort.

ah well.. I would say I am lucky here in some ways.

Posting spammer's e-mail addresses is useless. Most of the addresses they use as return addresses are either fake or throw away addresses that they don't check anyway. So by spamming them, you're only compounding the issue of unneeded traffic and wasted bandwidth.

Just some food for thought...

never thought to spam them.. and I know they often use throw away addies. the only thing is you could block them (assuming they re-use them, and I'd have to say that some would). I could see some good to it, but you're right. It's useless in that there are so many addresses it'd take forever to get them all.

just frustration I guess...

Just seeing will saying it tastes like crap..

You remember the song "Skat Man" .. was by that REALLLY old dood..  Well anyway ... In the old porn world Skat is another term for people shitting on other people, and eating shit..

So if he is the Skat Man.... .. Think about it!

Maybe that is a stoners theory.. In which case i apologise for my actions..

Time for Cobby to lay off the hash a little bit I think  ;)

Claoudmark SpamNet works well blocking most spam if your on windows using outlook, they keep a big spammer list and block them.

http://spambayes.sourceforge.net is also supposed to be an allright free open source solution
