 ??? i have a laptop with widows 2000 proffessional. i dont have the user name or password to log on. can someone make any suggestions? thanks

If you have a floppy drive, you can reset the local Admin password with this utility:

http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/

I might reccomend that you use caution with this utility, its messed up the SAM file a few times on me.

 ::) its a damn docking computer. has absolutly nothing. no floppy or cd rom. i would think its basically useless. any suggestions?

Does it have USB?

You could try formatting a USB key with the recovery floppy and some Laptops will recognize USB pen drives as floppies.
