Okay, I like the laser mice, and logitech makes some bad ass products, but im failing to see the need for the mouse buttons to light up when you get a new email or IM. Wouldnt you be sitting in front of the machine already to see that, so I think something like that would be redundant.
Dont know what purpose lugging your mouse in another room with you would be or if it would even have a signal after a certain distance. Granted new range with the higher frequency, but just how far could you really be from your machine before you couldnt see your monitor clearly, what, maybe 10 feet, and thats pushing it. Id only see a benny there if you were using a projector and doing a presentation or something.
Probably just for flashyness to one-up Microsoft.
