Been wondering about this for a long time actually. Because, I think you should be able to too. I know Taz told me years ago (sigh) that you wanted to help. And I think you should be able to! Besides, look at Ben... he came in and soon became moderator and he just sucks at things ;D (just kidding Ben!). Seriously though, I'm wondering about that very same question, godaigo.
And as far as Raule_Krip...
He was the one from United Arab Emirates. Definitely a kid. And the one thing I can remember of him (besides him being a dumbass, haha) is that he caused damage to some people's computers and did it in the 'name of ' HFX. When he was only a part of the forum... that's when I gave him a new one.
As for who you're thinking of... could it have been shortfuse (the one from Southbend Hackers Club) ?

Oh and as far as the staff thing goes Metty, I figure if I ever start making a decent contribution then I'll worry about it. I mean look at benny, he's posted more code and tangible talk in the relatively short time he's been here then I have since the Excite days ya know? So if I ever get off my ass then maybe it would be worth it for HFX to give me a shot. After all it's about what you know, not how you look on paper (or something like that....) ::)
I don't know... but I somehow suspect you could do more than you think with computers etc.
As for code, you have helped some people before (was it not Ben who asked you questions on C++ ?). That's just one example...
