CSS
« on: March 01, 2004, 03:24:49 PM »
So I've been looking at getting into some more web-based applications develpment, and just plain website development. My question though is: are there any good "books" on CSS. I realize that there are a lot of online resources (the w3c being one of them) but how about stand alone resources. Has anyone had much experience with using CSS for website development? Cheers....

Well there are some decent books for CSS, unfortunatly most of them are pretty lame.

But, the best resource for Website Design, is W3Schools.org:

http://www.w3schools.com/css/default.asp

Because CSS is such a valuable resource like that, the best stuff you'll find is online. And remember, you can always download the entire tutorial from them, you don't have to be connected to the internet just to read it.

Thanks Spirit, another resource that I've been using since I posted have been the tutorials available from Webmonkey (http://hotwired.lycos.com/webmonkey/) although sadly enough they won't be continuing to update their site. They have a lot of really nice tutorials covering a plethora of subject matter... I'm actually hoping to debut a site about the history of science, and potentially, about the history of computing. I'll let people know hear if I ever get a beta version put up! Cheers...

For anyone interested it looks like (after closing briefly) Webmonkey is back up! That's all, everyone can go back to their regularly scheduled programmming....  ::)
